I have always had a passion for cooking, traveling to experience cuisines, learning new techniques, and recreating the foods I love. I began cooking out of necessity when my mom went through a phase when I was in high school, when she stopped using butter, oil, salt....basically flavor. We called it, "The era when mom removed all flavor from food." When she was out for the evening, I stepped up and started to cook for my dad and brother. I loved it, they loved it and I was hooked and endlessly curious. I supported myself in college by developing menus and shopping and preparing private meals for students wanting to impress their friends or "interests", and yeas later, my mother and I opened a full service tea house and ice cream salon called Pure T, in San Francisco, where we developed and manufactured 25 flavors of tea-infused ice cream. While my professional career took me in the direction of owning a naming and branding firm for 20 years, it is cooking for my family and friends, events and parties, that has always made me the happiest. I am now ready to cook full time. My confidence in cooking is such that local food "legends" in Sacramento, Darrell Corti and Kurt Sputaro are regulars at my table. I am a positive person and work cleanly, I have a great sense of humor....I am looking forward to the opportunity of cooking for you!
I also curate CUSTOM COOK menus for my clients, where I recommend dishes, meal ideas and recipes, catering to my client's particular preferences. I provide the recipes OR, I can use my clients' recipes. A custom cook is a 3 hour cook and I can prepare about 10 dishes in that time. Chef Deborah is very personable and easy to work with. We left her in the house for another engagement during the food preparation and when we came back were welcomed with great smells, and a spotless kitchen. She also had presented the food wonderfully, ready for the luncheon.

Deborah was wonderful. She reached out to me prior to the day of service to see if there were any special requests. She communicated during the day when she was cooking and left the kitchen cleaner than it was before she got there. The food is delicious. She even labeled and put reheating instructions on each of the meals. I will definitely use her again!

Deborah is amazing. She’s easy to work with and so accommodating. I felt well cared for.
Deborah was awesome and she was fun to have around.
Love the Clean Shepherd’s Pie – and breakfast burritos. Lasagna is also great. We keep trying new dishes, but are fans of some meals that we order every week. Everything we’ve gotten has been good.
