Instructions

Prepare the Filling:

  • Heat the sesame oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  • Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and fully cooked (about 6-8 minutes).
  • Stir in the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sriracha (if using), and honey. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is evenly coated.

Add Vegetables:

  • Stir in the shredded carrots, chopped red bell pepper, and peas. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until vegetables are softened but still crisp.

Prepare Lettuce Wraps:

  • While the turkey mixture is cooking, carefully separate the lettuce leaves. Rinse and dry them gently to ensure they are easy to wrap around the filling.

Assemble the Wraps:

  • Spoon the turkey mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf. Garnish with chopped green onions and peanuts (if using) for added texture and flavor.

Serve:

  • Serve immediately, either on a platter for everyone to build their wraps or pre-assembled as individual servings.
