Thai Basil Chicken with Brown Rice

12-inch saute pan, Cutting board, Measuring cups and spoons, Pot with lid, Sharp Knives, Spatula, Top Stove

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown rice cooked according to package directions
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 clove garlic minced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 2 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cup cabbage chopped

Instructions

  • Cook the Rice: Cook the brown rice according to package directions
  • Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook for 2 minutes. Add ground chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • Add Veggies & Sauce: Stir in bell pepper, soy sauce, honey, and cabbage. Cook for 5 minutes until soft.
  • Finish with Basil: Stir in basil leaves and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Serve: Spoon over cooked brown rice.
Reheating Instructions
Heat in the microwave on medium high power until heated through or in a sauce pan over medium heat.
